Dear Featured Letter-Writer,
Thank you so much for volunteering to author a letter for the A Letter A Week program. Please read our letter writing policy below before submitting your letter. Submission of your letter implies you have read and agree with the policy.
Letter Format
Please send us a brief synopsis of who you are writing to and why so that we may introduce your letter on your letter’s webpage. If you have relevant links to outside web pages, please include the addresses of these links so they can be added to the website.
You are responsible for the delivery of your letter. If you are mailing a physical letter, please do not include addresses on the copy you e-mail to us. Addresses will be removed. Please make sure you date your letter. If you are sending an e-mail, please place as a header:

We recommend you write about a topic that you are passionate about. We would encourage you to send a positive message, though we may accept a negative letter if it shows a carefully crafted, intelligent argument.
At the end of your letter, please add the following disclaimer:
This letter may be featured on the website www.aletteraweek.com. Unless you indicate otherwise, any response you send may be posted on the site as well. Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you.
Right of Rejection
A Letter A Week reserves the right to reject posting your letter for reasons that may include: foul language, hate speech, or any message deemed inappropriate for our target audience.
Report Any Response
We request that you please report any response you receive from your letter so that we can post it on the site.
We reserve the right to reject publishing any letter to our site
Honor Code
You are responsible to follow through with any personal commitment you make within your letter. For example, if you pledge a specific dollar amount to a charity, it is your responsibility to make good on your pledge. Please note, a charitable donation is not a pre-requisite to having your letter posted. Any contribution you make is at your own personal discretion.
In addition, all responses to your letter that you receive and then send to us must be genuine. Fabricated responses are unacceptable. You will be held responsible for fabricating illegitimate responses.
